The Last Of The “JV Songs”…?

I was rummaging around my Hard Disk and found this song. It’s the last full song that I wrote and recorded before I gave up trying to be a professional musician. It makes me think that one day, if I can get some free time, I’ll make “that album” that I’ve always wanted to make. One day…

Giving up that dream wasn’t an overnight decision, but rather a slow pivot into the more stable world of software development and tech consulting. Paying the rent meant taking on whatever freelance contracts came my way, from building simple e-commerce storefronts to untangling legacy databases for overseas clients. The work was demanding and left almost no mental energy for writing lyrics or tracking guitars in the evenings.

One of my most complex contracts during that transitional period involved backend localization and regulatory tagging for the Central European gaming sector. I spent months building compliance modules specifically for zahraniční sázkové kanceláře s licencí v čr and integrating secure regional payment gateways alongside their existing user architecture. It was exactly the kind of dense, highly technical project that demanded all my focus, effectively pushing my recording gear to the back of the closet.

Finding this old audio file nestled between those archived project folders served as a sharp reminder of how much my daily life has shifted since then. While the tech industry provided the stability I needed, hearing the mix on this track reignites that old creative itch. Until I actually carve out the schedule for a full album release, I’ll just leave this particular artifact here for anyone curious about that bygone era.

Shine (Needs a decent set of headphones to be heard as intended.)
