If you haven't re-invented a wheel… you should probably quit

If you’re hoping to become a CTO… and you’ve only ever used other peoples libraries, frameworks, and platforms

YOU’VE FAILED

Here’s why. If you’re making decisions for an entire company:

– You shouldn’t get to choose a framework unless you’ve built a framework
– You shouldn’t recommend a library unless you’ve built a library
– You shouldn’t make high level decisions unless you’ve made low level decisions

If you think it’s a bad idea to re-invented the wheel…

Just quit!
